INDEPENDENT ARTIST TOOLKIT
HELP STARTS HERE.

Build a sustainable practice with practical business skills, clearer agreements, compensation benchmarks and funding leads.

Official sources reviewed October 14, 2026. National resources alongside Texas and North Texas organizations.

A practical first step

  1. Get help: Keep a short bio, selected work samples, a project budget and a deadline tracker ready.
  2. Know your options: Confirm scope, payment timing, reproduction rights and cancellation terms in writing before work begins.
  3. Help someone else: Share a relevant opportunity with its deadline and eligibility. Credit artists, respect licenses and ask before sharing their work.
